ahoy wanderful friends!!! here as promised is a sparodic update :-)  seems like a forever since we started off, we've wandered all the way to here {a barn in belgium} where we've stopped for the "winter" (its so bloody warm and dry it seems like summer, which was horrible wet and cold !!) we are earning our chocolate and wine working as farm hands on a belgian shire horse stud - feeding them hay and shoveling up thier shit!! ( i love it!)

        Poor sweet Flopsy died last week and tore a hole in our world that we're filling with tears!! 
        what a wanderful beast - we owe her everything  :-(


I wandered what a good collective noun would be for a group of friend like our group of friends could be. friends like you wanderful lot - and i decided upon 'an embrace'! An embrace of friends!
We have been embraced by friends( thats you) every step of the way and without every single one of you we wouldn't have got one metre - not one!! so there!!

here we go

Hi! welcome one and all to this here blog, our random and sporadically updated ramblings of a mule powered meander over the by-ways and by-ways of this bit of Europe, (and then that bit over there).
This is our dream come true , and after a year of planning, building, creating, inventing, f-ing and blinding: we finally have our wagon ready, all 3.5m² of her!! The mule is champing at the carrot shaped bit, the dogs ain't got a clue and our knees are knocking!!
Tomorrow, at about 0930, the whole kit and caboodle is heading south with our wanderful friends following along for a bit. Heading out from Broek in Waterland towards Zunderdorp along the bike path into A'dam the over the enormous bloody bridges (mule hates bridges) onto the Rhine Canal towards Utrecht. Join us (no dogs please).....wish us luck, wish us love.
